first sighting

I have left my two kids to check which movie we are seeing and I have gone to the ATM machine to take out money to pay for the movie tickets.  On my way back, I see him and he smiles  and I half -smiled back.  He approaches and says hi and i nodded. He held out his hand and we shoot and he introduced himself.  I told him my name and he asked what country are you from.  I replied. and he asked if i lived here and i said yes.

All this while we are slowly approaching the movie ticket desk.  I made eye contact with my two kids  here and they approach and so I had to gesture in his direction and said to the kids meet my friend and I turned to him and said these are my kids.  If he was shocked or surprised, it did not show. He shoot hands with them and gave his name.  The kids politely smiled and said hello.  I confirmed with them which movie we are seeing and move over to the desk to buy the tickets.  I turned back to the kids and he asked if he could have my number.  I called out the number while he keyed them in his phone.  I deliberatley rearranged the last two digits of my phone number and my son looks up and into my eyes to confirm if I had made a mistake or if this was deliberate. I hold his gaze, steady, and he said nothing.  He indicated to me that he had dialed the number and i said yes it was vibrating as I had put it on silent mode for the movies.  He told me he will call me and i said he could. We parted ways with him going towards the entrance of the mall and the kids and I heading for the popcorn stand.
